Marketing & Events Co-ordinator

Friends of Silsden Town Hall (FOSTH) are looking for a Marketing & Events Co-ordinator who has the desire and capabilities to play a vital part in the future of entertainment and community engagement in Silsden.

We have various fundraising events, acts and performances planned into 2023 and we are looking for an individual to join us to make these events as successful as possible. Our aim is to increase the profile of the Town Hall by publicising the resources available, increasing occupancy and revenues.

Personal Qualities:

The successful applicant will possess the following qualities:

  • A positive and supportive attitude towards volunteers who help create the special atmosphere we offer at Town Hall events
  • Good organisation skills with a get things done attitude
  • A commitment to working with FOSTH policies and procedures
  • The confidence to communicate and present their ideas effectively

Tasks/Roles:

The successful applicant will be able to provide us with the confidence that they can:

  • Create profitable events
  • Update our WordPress website (training offered if needed)
  • Use social media, traditional marketing methods and public relations to promote our events programme
  • Demonstrate knowledge of social media planning and understanding of algorithms to increase the profile of FOSTH
  • Write interesting and exciting posts, advertisements, and press releases
  • Manage events, including organising personnel
  • Liaise with Agents, Performers, and 3rd parties
  • Collaborate with other groups putting on events in the town hall
  • Co-ordinate Events Committee meetings

Contract – 16 hrs per week £12.00 P/H, specific hours to be agreed. This role will involve occasional evening and weekend hours.
